Summary

Sea of Monsters is the second book of Percy Jackson book series. Rick Riordan published this book in 1 April 2006. People arround the world loved this 2nd book of the series.

We have already know that, How Percy Jackson gets to know about who he really is and about his father and mother. Percy Jackson teams up with his friends and brings back the Lightning Bolt of God Zeus. 

Percy Jackson has to team up with his friends to save the world, the campers and his friend. A new attack on the campers sends Percy Jackson and his friends on a new quest. 

Percy Jackson has teamed up with his old friend Annabeth and a new friend Tyson a strange one. 

Percy Jackson must save Campers, his best friend Grover and retrieve greatest greek treasure The Golden Fleece. 

Overview

The Sea of Monsters is the second book of Percy Jackson series. This book has total 279 pages in it. I finished this book in single seating. The moves with a perfect pace, not too slow neither too fast. 

The story of sea of monster starts in New York, where Percy is leaving with his mother. After knowing what happened in Camp the foursome leaves to the sea. 

The story continues from here by exploring the sea and its beauty and the troubles waiting for them. 

Now moving the plot of 2nd book of the series from New York is pretty impressive thought by Rick Riordan. Also the world based on greek mythology created by Rick Riordan is also impressive thing.

Lighting Thief had those action packed scenes, but in The Sea Monster Rick Riordan took the action sequences to the next level. 

Rick Riordan also did great work on Percy's character. He is changed now, he is now grown mature and he is filled with lot more confidence now. 

You will miss the Grover's character in this book, because of he is the one who needs to be saved.

There is another character rising in this story, Tyson. He became's the important asset of this story, I will say without Tyson the story of Sea of Monsters is incomplete. 

Weak-points of Sea of Monsters

• I didn't liked Luke's character in this book. Rick Riordan should have explained him a little more deeper
• I felt that, Annabeth's character is feel like Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I think It should have different and better than that.

Strengths of Sea of Monsters

• Rick Riordan did a great job with Percy Jackson's Character. He is getting more mature than the previous one which feels amazing.
• I also enjoyed Tyson's character. He helps Percy with the way he could. In need he also delivers important messages. 
• Sea of Monsters is also full of action scenes, with nail biting suspense.
• Rick Riordan has introduced new Gods and Monsters in this book, which makes Sea of Monsters more interesting.

The Sea of Monsters is one of the best books written by Rick Riordan. The excitement from the first book continues here also. This is a perfect paced story with funny dialogues and action scenes. 

Rick Riordan perfectly blend this book with true Friendship, Love and Sacrifice. Rick Riordan Finished this book with an interesting way.
