Chetan Bhagat is a well known indian author. He managed to get in top 100 influential peoples list in time magzine in year 2010. 

Chetan Bhagat is a Mechanical Engineer and had a degree from IIT Delhi. Chetan Bhagat completed his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Chetan Bhagat started his career as an Investment Banker, but later on he pursued his passion of writting.

Chetan Bhagat's first novel was Five Point Someone. It was published in 2004. There are 5 bollywood movies have been made of his novels. He also writes articles for big news papers like Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar and The Guardian.

Plot

Radhika Mehta is a Indian girl who studied hard, got into IIM Ahmedabad. After completing graduation she started her dream job at the New York office of Goldman Sachs. She's always insecure about her looks. She had involved in few relationships before, but nothing was worked out for her. At the end, due to her mother's consistent Stubbornness, finally she agrees to have an arranged marriage.

At the starting scene of the story, Radhika and her family at the Marriott in Goa. They all are busy in preparation of her wedding to Brijesh. As the she tries to focus on her bachelorette party, sangeet and other functions, both of her ex-lovers land at her wedding.

What we think about this book

As i am one of the biggest fan of Chetan Bhagat's writings i enjoyed this book alot. The writter ticked all the boxes, The story has a Strong female torch bearer. She is a independent woman with a mind of her own who lives alone and makes her own decisions. A woman who seeking to have sex, and she is always ready to take initiative to have this. This thing is not enough to make this story about feminism. The book tries to speak about women empowerment. If a woman have enough money she can do anything, anything she wants.

We should appreciate efforts of the writter behind writting this story. He tried too hard to impress his audience. The scenario when her both ex arrives, is written beautifully by Chetan Baghat. You should read this book once.
