I always enjoys Chetan Bhagats writings. This is not the first novel I am liked which is written by Chetan Bhagat. He is King of writing this type of stories. The Girl in Room 105 is a great success. Thousands of copies of this book are sold worldwide. The book was originally published in 2018. It was published by Westland, Seattle.

About Author

Chetan Bhagat is a well-known Indian author. He managed to get in top 100 influential peoples list in time magazine in year 2010. He is a Mechanical Engineer and had a degree from IIT Delhi. He completed his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Chetan Bhagat started his career as an Investment Banker, but later on he pursued his passion of writing.

His first novel was Five Point Someone. It was published in 2004. There are 5 Bollywood movies have been made of his novels. He also writes articles for big newspapers like Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar and The Guardian.

Chetan Bhagat has just published another book One Arranged Murder. You have to read this book before reading One Arranged Murder.

Plot

The book starts with the drinking seen of Keshav and Saurabh his best friend tries to stop him. Saurabh and Keshav are best friends. At the first chapter readers will come to know about The Love Story of Zara and Keshav. 

The girl In Room 105 is basically a thriller novel. The story is about a girl named as Zara her murder and mystery behind her murder. Zara was murdered in her hostel room at IIT Delhi campus. Before she was murdered, she calls her ex-boyfriend Keshav in her room, but when he entered her room, he finds her dead. Keshav decides to solve mystery behind her murder, and makes it his life mission. In this hunt his friend Saurabh helps him.

Zara was originally from Kashmir. She came Delhi for doing PhD in big data analysis and networking. As days pass on, she meets Keshav and falls in love with him. Keshav was a son of RSS activist.

Zara and Keshav dated each other for a while and then the 3rd character knocks in, Raghu. Raghu who is a rich guy and has his own business attracts Zara towards him. Raghu and Zara spends time together until Zara gets killed in her room while she was sleeping. The story gets interesting when Zara’s brother who is Jihadist and The Indian soldiers comes into the story.

What we think about the book

If you love thrilling books, then this could be the right choice for you. You should give a try to this book. The story of this book is whole bunch of suspense scenes. You never can predict what is going to happen next, which makes this book very interesting.

The book has total 304 pages in it. The plot is divided into 34 chapters. The length of the chapters is from 2to 15 pages. The plot is in the format of conversation between characters which never let you bored. And with this way understanding of all characters becomes easy.

The character named Saurabh (Friend of Keshav), I think is the best character in this book. Chetan Bhagat wrote his character as like a true friend. He stays with his friend until the end. His funny character swings the mood of readers and also our main character Keshav.

The book starts with Romance and ends with many twists and turns. I am not going to surprise if there will be a Bollywood movie coming on the plot of this novel. If this happens this won’t be the first novel of Chetan Bhagat which attracted Bollywood industry.

Final Verdict

I enjoyed this reading this novel. I like the plot of the Girl in Room 105. As like other novels by Chetan Bhagat in this I felt the unique touch of his writings. The plot is not misleading at any point. It will be a great investment of Money and Time with this book. You won’t regret.
