Kevin Missal is also co-owner and co-founder of Kalamos literary services.
Plot
Kalki was born in village Shambala. He was the son of Vishnuyath and Sumati. The couple was living simple life, they had no idea about his inheritance. They comes to know about bravery from battles and tragedies happened in his life.
If you know about indian culture you must have heard about 3 Yugas. i.e. Satya yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar yuga and at the end Kalyuga according to the vedas. This cycle gos on in an never ending loop. Out of which Kalyuga is the smallest one. You will get information about these yugas on internet.
Kalki rushed to the province of Keekatpur. Lord Kali has Keekatpur under him. Kalki understood that purpose of his life is to clean the world he lives in. For the sake of it he starts his journey towards the north and learn the way of Lord Vishnu's avtars.
But his journey wasnt thar easy. He had to face may difficulties during his journey. He had to go through political intrigue. The question arises will he be able to follow his destiny before kalyug begins.
What we think about the book
Few days back, i came to know about this fantastic book. And dont why i was just wanted to read this book by just seeing its title. We all have urge to know more about Kalki and all other things told in indian puranas. If you love to read about mythology (indian mythology) then you must go through with this series of books. The Dharmayodhha kalki avatar of vishnu is the heaven for them.
If you know indian culture then you must know that kalki is one of the most intresting avtaras of vishnu. But still there very few writers wants to write about Dharmayoddha Kalki. Kevin Missal did a very best thing when he chose character of Kalki for his trilogy.
I can't say that this is a typical Mythological novel but rather this a fictional one written with the help of Mythological concepts. The information in this books plot is collected from different mythological books or text. You can compare Dharmayoddha Kalki series with Shiva Trilogy series written by Amish Tripathi. It is the inspirational story of Kalki who was from Shambala and was destined to do something big.
The book Dharmayodhha kalki avtar of vishnu is divided into two part. The Rise of Kalki and Battle of Shambala. Both these parts are very intresting to read. This is the one which you can blindly read without think will you enjoy it or not.
Kevin Missal has a unique style of writing (telling) a story. The imagination of author is mind-blowing. No can write this type of novels better than Kevin Missal.
