Summary of One Arranged Murder

One Arranged Murder is the latest book of Chetan Bhagat. The book published on 28 September 2020. You Must read The Girl In Room 105 before reading this book. Its kind of sequel of this book. 

You should also read One Indian Girl by Chetan Bhagat

The events in one arranged murder takes place sometime after the events of the The Girl in Room 105. It was also a previous murder mystery by chetan bhagat. 

You can also read review of The Girl in Room 105 here. If you have already read that book then you must now about Keshav and Sorav which are also in One Arranged Murder. There are few references in this book from The Girl in Room 105 but I think you don't need to  read that book to understand One Arranged Murder.

In One Arranged Murder, Keshav and Sorav works at the same company and also they own an agency. Keshav used to surf tinder regularly and hooks up with the tinder matches, in the search of good partner. Basically he is single. On the other hand Sorav is already in happy relationship with the girl named Prerna. 

Sorav and Prerna basically bond over their love for food. They both are foodies and thats why they got close together. When Sorav describes his feelings for Prerna, he says that She makes his heart make like a Chocolava cake.

We know that Keshav and Sorav are best friends but they are not really in the best terms in current scenario because of something happened between them.

On the night of Karvachauth, Prerna Invites Sorav at her House. She insists him to come and break her fast (which I think is a typical bollywood style) and ask him to come to the terrace of her house using backdoor of her banglow. So was so excited to get to her terrace and when he reaches the terrace he finds that a terrible moment awaits for him.

Overview of One Arranged Murder

One Arranged Murder was a small book and have arround 304 pages in it. I must say the book is quiet small. First 10 pages in book describes about Sorav and Prernas relationship. After that the book picks up space and it does deeps few times in terms of space. But overall story moves with a good pace.

The writing of this book is very easy and its best for a beginner, who just started reading books. The book does have few twist and turns as far as mystry and suspense factors are considered. Also the books turns unexpectedly at the end. 

One Arranged Murder Weaknesses

• The ending of the book is quiet predictable 
• I found few things weird in this book like, Keshav keeps annoying Sorav and his girlfriend by calling them fat. 
• The story has too much talked about Punjabi families to add fun part in the plot. Chetan Bhagat keeps making commentary about these Punjabi families. But he doesn't mean to heart anyone's feelings. Its just a part of the story.

One Arranged Murder Strengths

• As I said earlier the writting very easy and is best suitable for beginners. You don't need to find dictionary while reading this book.
• It is a perfect Mystery book with lots of twists and turns in it.
• If you're a fan of Chetan Bhagat then this is the best book for you.

Short Summary of One Arranged Murder by Chetan Bhagat

Chetan Bhagat is one of the most popular authors. People loves his writings. I liked this book but some people won't find it as intrested as I felt it. If you're someone who is die hard fan of Chetan Bhagat then One Arranged Murder would be not less than heaven for you. 

If you have liked Chetan Bhagat's privious murder mystery that is The Girl in Room 105 then you will definitely enjoy One Arranged Murder.
