Percy Jackson is one of the famous novel series by Rick Riordan. People loved this series of book arround the world.

Percy Jackson series of book totally has 5 books. The Lightning thief is the 1st book of the Percy Jackson book series.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lighting Thief was published on 28 June 2005

Percy Jackson who is just a 12 year kid who is having ADHD and Dyslexia and who is struggling with a boarding school. 

He never met his real father (as his father is a god and mother is a human). As he stuck into the battle between Gods and Monsters. 

When he comes to know that he is a Demigod, things has changed forever for the kid. He realises that he is a god at Mount Olympus.

Things goes worst when he comes to know that, he have angered one of the greatest god, God Zeus.

The Gods Master Lightning Bolt has been stolen and Percy Jackson is the main suspect, he must team up with his new friends in order to return the Lightning Bolt.

Now Percy Jackson has to find the thief and has return the Lightning Bolt just within 10 days. His friends decides to help him in this chase. 

Overview

The Lightning Bolt is another great book on Greek Mythology written by Rick Riordan. I read this book almost 6-7 years back and I was very impressed with this book.

The Lightning Bolt has arround 370 pages in it. The story starts with the introduction of Percy Jackson, like who he is and what he feels about it.

Rick Riordan did great job on pacing with this book. It feels perfectly paced while reading. 

Rick Riordan has introduced new Magical World with Percy Jackson. It explores the complex world of Gods. It has a too many characters but it doesn't feel that confusing as like other such books.

Rick Riordan introduced each and every character with brief and with a unique way, so readers can understand this plot easily and can enjoy it.

The plot of The Lighting bolt is full of action sequences and nail biting suspense scenes, which will definitely force you to stick to the one place and read through it.

The Percy Jackson is the story of a Choosen Boy who must fight against evil in order to save the world. 

Percy Jackson is a perfect blend, it has suspense, thrill and is a perfect examples of Loyalty and Bravery. It has the combination of Greek Mythology and History with modern world.

Percy Jackson is the series of books which anyone can read. It feels like it is for young generation, but I think it is suitable for any age group. 

Most of the peoples generally compares Percy Jackson with Harry Potter series, but I think this is not fare. Harry Potter series has its own fan base and its based on different world and Percy Jackson has different world.

• Even this book is written by Rick Riordan, I felt that writting of this book is not too intricate.

• Rick Riordan has done great work on the pace of this book. It feels perfectly fine.
• The character building in Lightning Bolt is a great part of Rick Riordan's writings. As we all know he is a one of the greatest writters.
• The book is full of Action packed scenes and nail biting suspense and thrill moments.
