Watch this video of Rick Riordan about Hidden Oracle

Summary

Rick Riordan came up with a series of book. The Hidden Oracle is the first book of the series. This is going to be best series of books I have ever Reviewed. It took a whole year to complete this series.
The Hidden Oracle is 1st book of Apollo series. The book was published in 3rd May 2016. The trial of opollo series has total 4 books. You can read about 2nd book of Trials of Apollo here The Dark Prophecy The 3rd book of Trials of Apollo series is The Burning Maze. 4th Book of the series is Trials Of Apollo The Tyrant's Tomb and The Trials Of Apollo: The Tower of Nero is last one.
Trial of Apollo is the story of God Apollo. This story takes place after god Zeus punishes the god Apollo. A Four Thousand Year Old God is now just a normal teenager boy.
Apollo must go through few trials and punishments as the result of few mistakes he made in past. In order to restore his legacy and rightful he he must pass these tests and trials.
In this journey Apollo will make more enemies but will also blessed with true friends and love, which will help him to fight against the evil.

When Zeus sends Apollo on the earth, he wakes up in a dumpster and finds himself in situation where two bullying teenagers attacked him a young girl named as Meg came into the scene saves him.

Now Apollo is in the mortal world he barely remembers about his power and his knowledge as a god. So he has to live as a normal heman being.

Overview of Trial of Apollo

Trial of Apollo is first book of the series. Rick Riordan is famous for writting books like these. His other books like Percy Jackson are famous amongst all age groups.

The writing of Trial of Apollo is fast paced and action packed. The book is small and has only arround 384 pages in it. Rick Riordan included few familiar faces like Percy and Rachel in this book.

You don't need to read old books of Rick Riordan to understand the characters of Trial of Apollo.

The plot of The Trial of Apollo is set in the same world as like Percy Jackson was in. When I was first heard of these series, I was very excited band curious about this new world by Rick Riordan.

Because of the Olympus series of books by Rick Riordan, it is difficult to understand the concepts or thought process of parents of these gods.

Trial of Apollo has a first person narrative. Rick Riordan manage to build the character of Apollo with a beet way. The Apollo of Hidden Oracle is the one which remembers you, how it feels like to be divine, loose your own abilities and powers, and stuck into the mortal body( as you were living a life of Immortal from long enough time).

The way Rick Riordan scripted this transformation that Apollo's character going through amazed me.

The narration of Trial of Apollo is the centre of attraction. It is filled with both funny and arrogance. It has the touch of that old greek style of writing.

Apollo goes through a huge and appreciable transformation in his journey of self-centred god to sympathetic and in a best friend.

Now their is one more important character in the plot of Hidden Oracle amd that is Meg. I don't to spoil your suspense and curiosity so I will just talk little about this character. I became very emotional and felt sad for her grief. There are many twists and turns comming for you in this book.

Strengths of Hidden Oracle

  • The characterisation of this book is very impressive
  • Rick Riordan explained character of Apollo briefly so readers won't feel it to difficult in understanding.
  • The plot of the book is fast paced and filled with many twists and turns which are enough to thrill their readers.

Few quotes from Trial of Apollo by Rick Riordan

  • Yep, that pretty much describes my life: because Poseidon
  • Things can turn out differently, Apollo. That's the nice thing about being human. We only have one life, but we can choose what kind of story it's going to be
  • He faced us. “You hear that, guys? A batch of cookies is depending on me. If you get me killed on the way to camp, I am going be ticked off
  • Not all monsters were three-ton reptiles with poisonous breath. Many wore human faces
